I'm thinking about upgrading my tv to something a little better. Right now I got a 10 inch tv that is about 10 years old. I was looking around online and found this one that looks pretty good and is in my price range. http://www.walmart.com/ip/19-CLA1906/13337921 It's got s-video and VGA which is a big plus for me. But I don't know how good LCD tvs are for gaming, I couldn't tolerate any skipping or anything like that. So could anyone give me some advice if this tv would be good for me or should I keep looking? Thanks
EDIT- Probably should have mentioned that I will be playing my older games on this TV like snes, saturn, and dreamcast.

I did a comparison of CRT and LCD differences, read my signature link. Hope its of help.

It really depends on what systems you have, new systems like Xbox 360 and PS3 would look better on a LCD because of the higher resolution, but older systems like Genesis and SNES would benefit off of a CRT because they use lower resolution.
I have a 27" CRT for my Dreamcast and Xbox 360 (I don't have room for my other systems), but I want a separate LCD TV for my Xbox 360, anyway they use less room.

Depends on if you're using it on an older system or HD system (or wii). Also. . . a 10" tv? And you're upgrading to a 19"? My computer monitor is 23". . . just sayin'.
Here's a 24" for $249:

If you're just using it for retro games just go to good will and pick up a 27" crt for <$100.

I have never had a problem with my 10'' so I never bothered upgrading it. Also this is just for my room so I don't need a massive one, I got a 40" in my living room.Jrecee wrote:Depends on if you're using it on an older system or HD system (or wii). Also. . . a 10" tv? This should be in the 'Gamin in the Home Theater[sic]' forum.
