Best Couples In Video Games

Post by Snickerd00dle »

After the sibling thing, I figured this one would be easier for people to discuss because there are sooooooooo many couples in games. The ones that I have enjoyed the most are Cloud and Aerith, The protagonist and his girlfriend in Shadow of the Colossus, more just him then the two as a whole...WHO ELSE?

Do you count where they never officially become an item but we know somethings there, like Mario and Peach and Link and Zelda?

My favorite couple ever has got to be James and Mary Sunderland from Silent Hill 2. Most video game couples are just kind of surface-dwelling, but that relationship is something that will haunt you for weeks after you finish the game.

Maybe those two guys from original Contra had something going on too, I sensed some sexual tension in the cutscenes.

Just like with siblings, there's a bunch of couples in fighting games...

Terry Bogard and Blue Mary. I love this couple - they're such a great fit. Plucky little fighters, so full of energy.

K' and Kula. Again, a great couple. K' has a suave coolness about him, while Kula is all spunky and cute.

Felicia and Talbain. May not be canon in the games, but it seems to happen in every comic book and anime they've appeared in. Everybody loves catgirls and werewolves.

Others include...
Yuri Sakazaki and Robert Garcia.
Ryo Sakazaki and King.
Kyo Kusanagi and Yuki.
Galford and Nakoruru.
Andy Bogard and Mai Shiranui.
Vanessa and Ramon.
Athena and Kensou.
Ken and Eliza Masters.

Man, SNK sure does familial relations/romantic relationships a lot more than Capcom does.

Elliot & Claris from Nights into Dreams. I always enjoyed watching the cut scenes in that game more than playing it.
I haven't slept for ten days, because that would be too long.

 Okay seriously now is there a game with coop where the two sidekicks don't jell together nicely? Might be a few but can't think of any.
