This is just a fun thread to toss out some great moments where some of my favorite musical artists shared the stage. If you know of any other fun music collaborations, feel free to post them as well.
Tori Amos w/ Maynard James Keenan (TOOL)
I never would have paired the two, but Maynard's voice works really well with Tori's song "Muhammed my friend".
Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails) w/ David Bowie
I wish I could have been at this show. These are two of my all time favorite musical artists. I know Trent credits a lot of his understanding of pop song structure from listening repeatedly to Bowie's "Low" album.
Pearl Jam w/ Sleater Kinney
I went to highschool in Utah where I was considered a weird kid because I listened to industrial music, grunge and feminist riot grrrl punk rock. But not even I ever dreamed these two would perform together.
Guns n' Roses w/ Buckethead and Robin Finck (NIN)
Somehow Axl Rose decided this was a good idea. GnR fans were genuinely bewildered by the lanky man with the KFC bucket on his head and the leather clad industrialist with the oddly shaved head. I, however, loved it.
The KLF w/ Tammy Wynette
Gods of the old school rave meet classic country queen. Stand by your JAM! These two shouldn't go together as well as they do, but as a raver who grew up in a country town; I can understand.
Eminem w/ Elton John
I'm not really a big fan of either, but this is one of Slim Shady's better tunes. I included this one just because they are such an unlikely pairing since Eminem is such a homophobe. I'm not sure if it's weirder that Eminem decided to play with Elton, or that Elton decided to play with Eminem.
Willie Nelson w/ Snoop Dogg
Seriously, does this video even need more description?
Bjork and Thom Yorke (Radiohead)
Two of my favorite vocalists together on the soundtrack to one of my favorite movies (Dancer in the Dark). Sorry, there's no video with the two together. The scene from the movie has a different male vocalist.
Atari Teenage Riot w/ Slayer
Too. Much. Hardcore. Sound. >_< \m/

I remember that about 3 years ago Manson and Slayer toured together. The Slayer fans complained that the mosh pits sucked.

I went to one of those shows in Cleveland, the Slayer pit was smaller than I would have liked, but it was very brutal, I can't do that kind of stuff anymore thoughGSZX1337 wrote:I remember that about 3 years ago Manson and Slayer toured together. KLF and Tammy Wynette... wow, that's really an oddball match up.
