Oh yeah, the winner does only have 1 feedback. Considering the seller didn't allow 0 feedback bidders to participate, it doesn't look very good. That probably explains why the other bidders stopped.

Well, if the winner doesn't pay, doesn't that just mean that the second highest will get the item? I've lost plenty of bid wars in the past, only to have the winner renig - then it would go to me at the last price I bid.

It doesn't automatically thou the other user gets a 2nd chance offer and decides if they will accept it.
