Would videogames be what they are today without R.O.B.?

I got my PS1 on December 25, 2000
I got my PS2 on Thursday March 3 2004
I got my PS3 on February 15, 2009

My first three consoles, Thanks ROB, If it wasn't for you, I would never enjoy ANY of these.

I bought my NES with ROB on FT. Ord CA mid 86, I thought he was going to be important to gaming with the NES but that all faded after getting him going...he usually sat on top of my tv watching me play...

But how many people actually bought their NES from a Toy Store?

I did. Lionel Playworld was where I bought my first and only NES (it's still ticking) back in 1986 after a hard summer of mowing lawns to be able to afford it. It turned my frown upside down.

If I could only go back and see those huge Toys-R-Us glass display cases again. SNES, Coleco Adam, Genesis, Aquarius, Mattel handheld Football and then there was Turbo Graphix which caught my eye with the Hucards. I did buy a 5200 at "TRU", a real monster. Somewhere I have an old red LED handheld from there as well.

Hats off to that little NES Robot, our gaming would have been strictly computers if that little guy didn't step in.

I did buy at swap meet years later, a Radioshack Armatron. Big Kid has to have his toy.

Did not have this one.


Took armatron apart once to grease the ring gears and quit it down.
Pretty ingenious design. All functions off one motor, ring/planetary gears like an Automatic Transmission.
