Indeed. The newer one that I bought with the backlit screen is way better than my missing old one that I bought it to replace. The only bad point about sp's, for me, is the lack of an earphone jack, the battery life and the ergonomics. Considering I mostly play fight games and use my gameboy for making chiptune, makes me use my Sp for rpg's only... wich is not a bad thing.
