Cheapest handheld to get ?

Post by sbsm »

I currently own a decent gb collection and a small NGPC games and systems, what do you recommend me next, without wasting a lot of money?

I remember seeing cheap Wonderswans on the bay, but now theyre all like +30 bucks, and including super high shipping rates to spain :/

I would get a Gameking (¿or was it gameaxe?) if I got to see it... but never did

Can't you find reasonably-priced refurbished DSLites in España?

Well I'd recommend an Atari Lynx. It's a really awesome system, hugely under-appreciated, and the games for it aren't too expensive, and it's often relatively easy to find them still in box.

The gameaxe/king is the old portable famicom right? I've got one of those that I could sell you if you're interested. It's actually a pretty solid machine considering it's one of the earlier famiclones. PM me if you want it.
My Want List!

Consoles: Sega Master System, NES Toploader, Genesis/32X, Sega CDX, SNES, 3DO FZ-1, Sega Saturn, Nintendo 64, Sega Dreamcast, Sony PS2, Nintendo Gamecube, Xbox Halo Edition, Wii, PS3
Handhelds: Atari Lynx, Sega Nomad, Neo Geo Pocket Color, GBC (Atomic Purple, Pokemon Edition), GBA (Pink OG, Silver SP, Spongebob SP+), DS (Phat, iXL), 3DS, PSP (1000, Go)

Oh I forgot about being specific : old school systems. I already own a ds, and my gf is getting me a psp.

If you dont have a GBASP, get that because that is the only Game Boy you need. You can play all the vintage Game Boy games and can actually see them!
NES, SNES, PS1, N64, DC, PS2, GCN, Wii, PS3, 360, GB, GBC, GBA, GBA SP, PSP 3000, and 3DS XL

I'm pretty sure you can get a rather cheap GBA SP, but as you have a DS and PSP already that isn't worth it. Therefore I suggest a Neo Geo Pocket Color. Even if you could emulate it on the PSP, the NGPC has a very nice "joystick" instead of a d-pad which will make it worth the 20 or so Euros it costs. It is rather cheap I think (maybe my prices are out of date though).

haha, im the worst at opening threads. I forgot to say i own every regular gameboy (that includes the advances), with like 15 gba games, a flash cart, 25 gb games and two flashcarts for gb. I also own NGPC games and two systems, the problem is some games are a bit pricey (im looking for the SNK vs Capcom CIB and the Rockman brawler , wich are always more than 40 bucks).
I LOVE the Neogeo pocket. Its fighting games are the best handhelds I tried ever

wich games do you suggest me for the game gear? problem is the systems ship for expensive, but i have a little interest in it. I guess the Sonics are cool, and also Lemmings and Virtua Kids fighter.
