Propecia can have sexual side effects, such as impotence. It's not worth it, dudeSpecineff wrote:Not a single mention of Propecia/Finasteride?
It's not a miracle cure, but it's approved by the FDA, works in 98 percent of the cases, and it has also put my mind at great ease. Also, the side effects are all psychosomatic.

I wish it gave me impotence.
(Yes, I am taking it. Not to argue, but I don't recall seeing that as a side effect.)

It lowers your levels of testosterone, which is linked with balding, therefore it can potentially have that undesirable side effect of messing up with your sexuality.pepharytheworm wrote:What? Apparently this is the active ingredient:

Re: Rogaine
That's slightly inaccurate. It lowers your levels of Di-hydro-Testosterone, which is a byproduct of testosterone. Professional athletes are forbidden from taking it, because the body later increases testosterone production a little, and is therefore seen as a way of cheating by the ruling bodies. It also masks the presence of enhancers, but that's another story. But yes, a side effect can be impotence. It just hasn't happened to me, thankfully.
Dang if I can find the link, though.
