XBox Live Arcade, the ability to play some of the original XBox games, and a good racing game are the only things I'm interested in.Mozgus wrote:Seriously, I might buy one at $100 but that would never happen. I just have no interest in the thing, still.
I really hope the Wii's non-VC download service gets up and running and gets some the good XBLA titles and more.

The whole xbox live thing is like $50 a year right? And it gives you unlimited access to demos and videos and communication right? What about tv shows and movies?racketboy wrote:XBox Live Arcade, the ability to play some of the original XBox games, and a good racing game are the only things I'm interested in.Mozgus wrote:Seriously, I might buy one at $100 but that would never happen. There are two parts to XBox Live. Live Gold is what lets you play games online and is $50 a year. Silver is free with your 360 and is what lets you play (free) demos and TV Shows(not free) and movies(not free). But to buy a Marketplace item you do not need Gold access, so it only costs you whatever the item costs.Mozgus wrote:The whole xbox live thing is like $50 a year right? I bought my 360 because the games for it are catching my attention. Dead rising, mass effect, gears and others. I never had the original xbox or even touched one. So that's double the library of games. Just wish all games were compatible; I seem to run into titles I want that are super cheap but can't play.

I just voted for $300, but I would have voted for $350 because that's what I'll be doing in a few weeks. I've got the cash just burning a hole in my pocket, but I'm going to wait until early Oct and after the Halo 3 release to see if the 'Falcon' boards start rolling in.
There are a lot of things that are attractive to me about the 360, including playing some of the best Xbox 1 games (I never owned one) and some of the original content on XBLA. There's a pretty long list of games I want to play including Dead Rising, BioShock, Mass Effect, Oblivion, Rock Band, PGR4, Fable 2, Gears, Castle Crashers, Pac-Man CE, Geometry Wars and Space Giraffe. Not much of an FPS person but I will try to at least check out the Halos along with PD Orta, Ninja Gaiden Black and JSFR (I don't have a Dreamcast).

Don't have one yet, I voted $200. If I had to reccomend a new console to a first time buyer it would be the 360. I hear later this fall there will be a version that has HD DVD player built in and acts as a DVR as well. That may be what breaks me into the higher def format and DVR market. I would pay much more for that.
Let my legs shake me to sleep, and don't wake me when I sweat on my sheets.
