Anybody Else Picking Up Brain Age 2?

Post by racketboy »

Here's a quick review:
http://www.dsfanboy.com/2007/08/29/ds-f ... ain-age-2/

I was a little disappointed that it doesn't seem like an improvement, but just different puzzles.
Still ok, I guess

I'll probably pick it up soon, but I'm getting back into the first after being away from it for a few months :)

I just played BA1 for the first time actually. The Sudoku part was by far the best for me. I had played it on paper many times and never finished a puzzle, but the ease of putting in and removing numbers made it twice as fun on screen. No more scratch outs and tiny scribbles mucking it up. Have you seen the DS package with BA2 included? The console is black base with maroon lid, it's ok looking but not great. Something new anyway.
Let my legs shake me to sleep, and don't wake me when I sweat on my sheets.

Yeah, the Sudoku interface is PERFECT.
The other Sudoku games on the DS can't compare.

Enjoy BA but probably won't get the second one. I was into it for a while, now it's mostly a Sudoku cart and mostly my wife plays it. I do really like some of the games, though. Might check it out if I can get it cheap used.

My in-laws actually just got this for me yesterday (very nice of them)
It is a bit refreshing to have some new puzzles, and they can be quite challenging starting out.
Rock/Paper/Scissors can give you a headache and the word scramble can be quite tough.

Of course, my wife, the piano player, totally aces the Piano part :)

There's a DS homebrew game called Puzzlemaniak that I can't stop playing the last few days. It has so many different little puzzle games, it's themable, it has online high scores, and it's got lot's of options too. Also, there's a new feature called Daily Puzzle, and every day it's different from the server. You can only try it once a day, and it submits your time to the server. Anyways, it kicks ass. Anyone w/ a ds backup cart should try it.
