Please do not be offended, but grammar is quite essential for not only posting a question but also for receiving an answer.

this is verry anoying and longpauses make things hard to read and makesone sound verry much like a yappy dog

Forgive me if this seems very scolding, however this is a very unfortunate trend on the internet. Interest in a console can get one in a fluster, but they best way to express any sort of feeling in writing is through the articulate use of language.

I am very fond of the Master System, and think that Kid Alex in Miracle World and Sonic 1 / Sonic 2 are the best games for the system.

Edit: My original post scolded more than corrected.

Its not a problem. Writing is is a process that occurs over time. Not one person on this earth is perfect, and even Webster got it wrong (he is responsible for the difference in American English and original English).

I would also like to add to your list that a killer version of OutRun was made for the Master System. That game is so.... relaxing....

Whoops. In that case, I have no first-hand experience. However, I know that the first one gives you the most options, as it accepts both cards and cartridges.

The Master System 1 can use those 3-D glasses. I hear the 3-D gimmick works pretty well. It also comes with the game Snail Maze built in. The Master System 2 eliminates that port that connects to the glasses. Alex Kidd in Miracle world is built in. I would definitely say that Alex Kidd is a better game than Snail Maze. Alex Kidd was also available in cartridge format. So buy the first Master System if you want the 3-D glasses or buy the second Master System if you want the better built in game.

I'd definitely recommend getting the model 1. It's got more options, and it looks cooler too! I just picked one up recently myself, and it's a really great system. Don't worry too much about what built in game it has, the games aren't very expensive to buy on ebay/amazon etc. so it's not too difficult to pick a few up on a budget.

I know you're not asking for games just yet, but goddammit get Action Fighter. I love that game so much. It's like Spy Hunter meets Xevious meets bizarro flying cars. I can't really explain why I love it, it's not hugely unique aside from the flying car, but damn is it fun. Gotta go play it now.
My Want List!

Consoles: Sega Master System, NES Toploader, Genesis/32X, Sega CDX, SNES, 3DO FZ-1, Sega Saturn, Nintendo 64, Sega Dreamcast, Sony PS2, Nintendo Gamecube, Xbox Halo Edition, Wii, PS3
Handhelds: Atari Lynx, Sega Nomad, Neo Geo Pocket Color, GBC (Atomic Purple, Pokemon Edition), GBA (Pink OG, Silver SP, Spongebob SP+), DS (Phat, iXL), 3DS, PSP (1000, Go)

The Model 2 doesn't support game cards, so I would heavily suggest the Model 1.

Besides not supporting card games or the 3D glasses, the Model 2 can only output RF.
The only upside to having a Model 2 is the smaller size - Model 1 Master Systems are pretty big.

My Model 1 has Safari Hunt and Hang On built in.

I second getting Action Fighter. Very fun and addictive game - and dirt cheap, too.
