But genesis was released years before SNES, genesis was in '89 and SNES was in '92 I think .

Was the 64 really more powerful than PSX? was the psx more powerful than Saturn?(weird since Saturn is much more bulkier)

If the Nintendo releases its next console in 2010 or 2011 , this must be Nintendo's worst console ever library wise. It sure sold a lot, but I believe it has the least quality games since the NES, I think only 3 or 4 games scored 9/10

The Megadrive had a faster processor. The Motorola 68000 was supposedly more powerful in some areas than the Ricoh 5A22 found in the SNES. But general consensus has it that the SNES is more powerful overall. The same is with the PS3, it has a more sophisticated Cell processor but its GPU is somewhat inferior to the competition. I'd say basing console superiority predictions on perceived machine power is a waste of time.
