Art is by michael avon oeming. He has been drawing powers since like... 99 or 2000 i think. I've just started working on powers about 10 issues ago, and i'm working on the l4d comic with him as well.destructoid wrote:Want to know how Bill, Louis, Zoey and Francis wind up in the South? The only way to find out will be to read the Left 4 Dead comic, which Valve is planning to release on Xbox Live. The comic will be a first for Xbox Live, and it will explain how the original four survivors manage to meet Ellis, Rochelle, Coach and Nick.
The comic should be a good way to pump us up for The Passing, Valve's upcoming DLC that features the original four survivors. So far, we don't know if Microsoft wants to have the nerve to charge anybody for it, but knowing Microsoft, it's a distinct possibility. In any case, The Passing is out this month, so keep an eye out for the comic soon.
I can't leak any of the art for left 4 dead yet, but just to give you a vibe of what the book is going to look like... I attached some powers art we worked on. Now- while it is going to look similar, it is going to be more left 4 dead style. Moody. Gritty. Full of texture and just a gross gory mess.
I should also note- I'm only coloring the flashbacks. Another very talented colorist, val staples, is coloring the rest of it. I have no idea what that looks like yet.
I've really been loving this project, and I think it is some of the best work of my career. Can't wait to share it with you guys! As soon as I'm able, I'll show you some pages.
