Question for the JPN X360 owners

So have you ever had a disc simply not work in your machine? I bought a used copy of Namco Museum (NTSC/J) and it freezes the startup screen if I try to turn the machine on with the disc in. If I try to load it from the dashboard, then I get the "clean your disc" error.

The disc itself looks great on the bottom. Customer support at Play-Asia asked me to put it in my friend's machine to see if it works there.... not really an option So back to Hong Kong it goes. If they can boot it up, they send it back to me and charge me shipping once again. Awesome.

I thought *maybe* it had to do with a system update, but all my other JPN games work fine. Or maybe this is all just a precursor to the red rings...

One thing I might try is if you have a US 360 try the disc out in that. If it's a problem with the disc the US 360 will also complain about a dirty disc. If it's a problem with your JP 360 then the US one will complain about it being region locked.

I had a problem with Guitar Hero 3 on my first Japanese Xbox 360 where it would always freeze up.

Maybe some games are not compatible.
