STEAM CLIENT FOR MAC!

Post by nickfil »

Another secret i was keeping to myself, but bursting about... As an avid mac user and valve gamer, I love this. Hopefully more companies will start making mac ports.

best of all- I don't have to rebuy the orange box, and HL. I can re download them for the mac for free.

So now Macs have more games for them than Blizzard releases?

I'm not a Mac, user, but this is HUGE news for Mac users and it's pretty good news for PC users too. That's all because of the Steam Play feature.

The fact that you can now buy a game for Mac and still be able to play the PC version for free is just awesome (and vice versa, assuming the software was developed for both platforms). This may be what finally brings software companies to develop games for Mac.

This is an industry changing technology.

Absolutely. I really hope that it catches on and developers other than valve start making mac ports specifically for steam.

I didn't think it was that big of a secret. I've been following this for the last 2-3 weeks.

I see two problems with this statement. First, 1.6 is so much better that Source. Second, TF2 is much better than either and you should get it instead.
