This reminds me, when I bought my NES at Salvation Army, it had a game they didn't know about inside. It was Tecmo Super Bowl. I figured they were selling the whole thing, including the contents, so I kept it. I sold it on Ebay, and got every cent I paid for the system back, so I basically got a free NES.
Same thing happened when I got my PS2. The game was Burnout Takedown, the store: Goodwill (I used the same reasoning there to keep the game as at SA). It had no box, of course, so I got nothing for it. I ended giving to some guy for free at Gamestop after they wouldn't let me trade it in.
Anyway, as for the TC situation, I would keep the game, but next time he goes to the store, he should pay for it. They aren't just selling whatever's in the box like thrift stores.

and you are not aware of this man's guiltiness. as long as the game is with him and he has this feelings towards it, it will not go away quietly. in my opinion he gotta do what's right in his mind. but if he doesn't feel that way, then go ahead and keep the power of the Vectorman!

I wouldn't feel bad, its just a mistake as long as you didn't put it inside then its another story. I always check if the game is inside just in case someone took the game, it happened to me before.

This reminds me of a time I bought 3D pinball for sega saturn for $3 but when I got home found out that inside was a copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga. I decided to bring it back to them though cuz it looked like a crap game.

I found Fatal Frame II for PS2 in decent condition being sold by a movie rental store for $2. Best deal evar.

EDIT: And you guys reminded me of a vending machine back in high school. You choose Cherry Pepsi and it gave you two. I abused it everyday for two years.

I know I'm dragging this up from a few pages back, but Cherry Pepsi?! That might actually make the stuff drinkable!

I wish they did that here. And while I'm at it, I wouldnt mind some of those interesting flavours of dr.pepper you have in the states either.
