Horror action figures (Warning large pictures)
Horror action figures (Warning large pictures)
I just started to get into horror action figures, I'm a big horror fan and I always wanted to buy some but never did until I recently purchased some 18 inch horror figures: Leatherface, Freddy Krueger, and Michael Myers.
I got really lucky because this guy was selling an 18 inch Leatherface for $10 on Amazon, so I asked what condition its in and he said its in "good" condition and then he would threw in 2 other ones for $19! which I got all 3 for $26 shipped! These are Mcfarlane "Movie Maniacs" which are really expensive! These figures are in great condition and really detailed. I think I'm getting into another hobby, I already have too many!

Re: Horror action figures
Cool find. I've often had to pull myself back from buying statues of my favorite comic book characters, but for $26 that is a steal.

No, that isn't my book, my sister leaves her stuff on my computer room. I don't have a proper shelf to put them on so I took them in a different room.dedalusdedalus wrote:Cool find. Re: Horror action figures
Quilting and collecting horror movie statues would be incongruous hobbies...but I was hoping that you'd combine the two and make a gigantic Jason quilt.DCsegaDH wrote:No, that isn't my book, my sister leaves her stuff on my computer room. Picture it, that quilt would have patches portraying sackhead Jason, the head shrine of Pamela Voorhees, along with all your favorite kills.

When I think Horror Movie Quilt, I think of a bunch of torn off faces sewn together.dedalusdedalus wrote:Quilting and collecting horror movie statues would be incongruous hobbies...but I was hoping that you'd combine the two and make a gigantic Jason quilt.DCsegaDH wrote:No, that isn't my book, my sister leaves her stuff on my computer room. That would be amazing if someone actually made something like that in a quilt. Thanks for your comments guys. I'm not going to go crazy like some people, I just want a couple more, Pinhead and a Jason so I have the 5 main horror icons.
Edit: I would have taken the pictures in my room if it wasn't such a mess. Maybe later I'll show my collection along with my other figures when I get it cleaned up.

Re: Horror action figures (Warning large pictures)
Hey, a word of warning. Freddy's fingerblades have a bad tendency to snap. Also, while certain figures in the Movie Maniacs line are awesome and worth the price(Freddy being one of them), certain others just feel poorly made(The Crow). I used to be into this line back when I was more into action figures around 2001-2005ish.
Re: Horror action figures (Warning large pictures)
Thanks for the warning, I don't really move the figures around much. One of the guys on Youtube has a Jason and other ones, he said not to put them high up because they don't stand up too well. Do you still have the figures or did you sell them?Ack wrote:Hey, a word of warning. Freddy's fingerblades have a bad tendency to snap.
