Atari 2600 "Heavy Sixer" version.

Maybe some you guys can shed some light here,

I'm involved in an argument with a buddy of mine who insists that there was only one model of the 2600 heavy six switch woody ever made. The other models he says were of the six switch variety but not "heavy sixers" due to reduced RF shielding.

My point is that the sixer made in Hong Kong in '78 and the Sears branded version were also "heavy sixers"
So who wins the argument here? lol

It is my understanding that there are 2 heavy sixers:
1. CX2600 Sunnyvale edition - Made in California
2. CX2600 - Made in Hong Kong

Both the same thing.

That's good to hear.
No but I mean he was like making a pretty convincing argument. He was going on about standard-sixers or light-sixers and how if you pick up a '77 model you can definately feel the weight difference and all that, hence the term "heavy sixer"

Anyway, I'll be sure to point him towards this thread and in particular your comment about him.

To me, all 6 switch versions are "heavy sixers" But like I said, thats just me.
