Turbografx-16 CD games

I recently picked up a Turbografx-16 with the CD add-on, but unfortunately it only has the System Card 2.0, so I can't play the Super CD games with it. As I understand it, the best CD games are Super CD games, so I guess I'm out of luck until I can cough up the $100+ for a System Card 3.0.

My question to you fine forum patrons is, are there any good CD games that don't require the System Card 3.0? I'm having trouble finding any lists that differentiate normal CD games and Super CD games.

I really enjoyed Y's book I & II on TG16 CD. It kinda dated now but I remember it was a little slow in the beginning but then you get addicted into ramming the enemies. Congrats on the purchase. I really miss my Turbo Duo.

ALTERED BEAST - Not the best version but its not bad
AVENGER - vertical shmups
BUSTER BROS. - Arcade action puzzle game
SUPER DIMENSION FORTRESS MACROSS 2036 - Shmups can play as Super or cdrom2
HIHO DENSETSU - CHRIS NO BŌKEN - Platformer
COSMIC FANTASY 2 - RPG
EXILE - Action RPG
FIGHTING STREET - Fighter this one really not that good though
FINAL ZONE II - Top view shooter (commando style) awful voice acting though
HELLFIRE S - Shmups
IT CAME FROM THE DESERT - Interesting more then it is good
KAISOU CHŌJIN SCHBIBIN MAN 3 - Action platformer
L-DIS - a Cute-em-up
LAST ALERT - Overhead action also bad voice overs
WONDER BOY III - MONSTER LAIR - Do I need to explain this one?
SIDE ARMS SPECIAL - anothe shmups
SPRIGGAN 1 and 2 - Shmups
TERRAFORMING -shmups Super cd or cdrom2
VASTEEL - Strategy
YS 1 & 2 - Action RPG
YS III - Action RPG
ZERO WING - Shmups

Hopefully you like Shmups cause thats mostly what there is. There is also a 4 in 1 disc with Bonk 1, 2, Gate of Thunder and Bomberman. I think its just cd-rom2 but not totally sure.

The 4 in 1 came with the US Duo as a pack in. It says Super, as does the Japanese GoT only disc.
