I'd put money on that not happening. Not until they come up with some way of having 3D without glasses that everyone in the room can experience in the same way.

I heard there is 3D tv non-glasses

I really didn't think the new 3D experience added to the movie, in fact I thought the glasses ruined the beautiful colors of the movie, not to mention half way through you forget its 3D you can't notice it. I like pop-out 3D , its interactive in a way.
A friend of mine said he won't go into a 3D movie again because his eyes hurts him, he can't focus on anything probably because everything is sharp.

this avatar movie was like the best 3d movie ever with new technology and new cameras, how come Alice just came out and its the same?

Can we add a twist to the topic,

WTF!!!
this movie grossed more than the Titanic? I am sure that is a lie!
Although I never knew what made people go watch the Titanic , I am sure there was no one who went to Avatar and came out happy with it.

Its an okay movie at best, I didn't see dances with wolves, but I am sure I saw this kind of story before. Plus the world is not immersing , its juts a jungle, and the blue guys are just tall humans with flat noses and blue faces. Like star wars is better and i hate star wars.

They are either lying or marketing has the power to make people commit suicide in masses. I don't believe marketing has this much power, specially when the movie is not good in the first place!

The only new ideas were having a living avatar-robot(though same thing with the bruce willis movie not long ago) , and and connecting with your horse using your hair.

The thing is, if the hype machine goes into overdrive then it doesn't matter if the film is shit. People will see it anyway, and then come to the conclusion that it's mediocre, and even worse without the 3D aspect of it. Nobody has to like a film for it to gross millions. They simply have to see it.

Indeed, it's like this hype turns into a social imperative. I felt the same way regarding the Titanic. Didn't even bother to finish watching the bloody bootleg tape at the time, yet somehow knew it was going to quadruple its budget in profit, if not more.

avatar 3d was horrible. it was a pain in the ass to watch. might get that movie on blue ray so i can really enjoy it, but the 3d experience sucked.

I watched in 3D.

Awful story, some nice nods to Alien, good effects. I would never want to watch it on DVD.
