Hi, I registered just to reply to you, and I did in fact compose, arrange and record everything myself. If you would listen to the songs I was influenced by you might hear some similarities, but the only thing I sampeled (spelling?) was the vocals!

That's why I never accused you of sampling (just that I had a suspicion). I don't know anything about audio production so I wouldn't know if the clips just sounded similar or if they were sampled with some effects on top.

Not that there's anything wrong with sampling however, it's a legitimate way of remixing music, but yeah, I just happened to listen to the Fulgore theme that day and wanted some chuggy-guitar riff with some artificial harmonics so that's basically the Neo Geo-riff.
I think I recorded about 8-9 guitar tracks on this song, excluding the solo as I generally feel the music sounds more complete when theres multiple guitars playing at once, each panned slightly to the left/right speaker.

I also had to slow the song down a bit, because I thought it went too fast, and it didn't really fit too well with the "emotional" clean guitars. Also, I pitched Nathan's voice down half a step because then I could play the song in E-minor which is easier, because I can use open strings and what not.

I dunno why I wrote all this, but it's some additional info if you, in any case, was interested.
Are you going to do a remix too? This competition is really fun, I enjoy seeing other people's work, also, it's a great chance to show each other what we can do.
