TV Stands

Post by fuctfuct »

Just want to get some opinions.

I have a 27" 4:3 SDTV and a 32" 16:9 HDTV. Together their width is about 59". I could buy 2 matching TV stands like these..

Or a 60" wide one like this..

What do you think? I am kind of leaning towards getting the 2 smaller ones.

Also, If anyone has and ideas for cheap TV stands please let me know.

One stand consolidates more and helps hide the bird's nest better, but 2 would make setting up 2 TVs and multiple systems easier initially and if you shuffle systems from time to time.

Larger stand is nicer keep everything together. Great if you have a video in one TV and game in the other. Ridiculous if you have two different people playing two different games.

Well the 60" one is apparently made out of a 6" foam mattress, so I'd be slightly concerned about that.

Jeeze you are right! Inventory list screwup. Then again you never know.

Is that "Brick" store big franchise up there? Years ago used to have one here, in South West U.S. My dining table, still very solid from the Brick.

I'd go for the wider TV stand. That little stand has those crummy wheels that TV stands had in the '70s.

I'd check the weight of your old crt. A lot of these newer tv stands are not made to support the weight of a REAL TV. And if you do go for the 6" foam matress, make sure it can support the weight of a REAL woman.
