This should be showing up in the mail soon: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... :IT&ih=019

Did I get ripped off? :) Anyway, I'm assuming there is no modchip necessary since there most likel was no CD-Rs in this system's day. Does anyone know if I need to do anything special to get burned games on it? Is it missing any useful accessories? Am I crazy for even wanting one of these? :D

wow a cd-i, heh.

it's more a nastalgic piece, not much for real playable games on the bastard. I do own a copy of one of the zelda titles, unopened. If you want it.

It has a small handful of fun titles, but you have the most useful one already, thats right the encyclopedia. Though the two Alice games (- in wonderland, through the looking glass) are pretty neat. There no American McGees Alice, but they were decent little dittys. And believe it or not one of the Zelda games is not as bad as everyone says it is. I wont tell you which one, but if you get a chance to play them youll figure it out real quick.

Burn Cycle <period>

I remember the Phillips rep coming in my Babbages, attempting to push the CD-i. He was playing Burn Cycle, since it was the hotness then, and ask if there were any other titles we might want to test out. So I ask about playing the Zelda. He looked at me fuinny, and said I should pick something else. I eventually got to play it for about 3 minutes and I was done. To me CD-i was a dude from the get-go...needless to say, we sold hell-ov-lot of more 3DO's over it that year.

If you didn't notice Radar was suggesting using the CD-i as a door prop, yes you missed something :)

Similarly one could suggest using it as a paper weight. You get the idea.
