msxDS updated!

Well I haven't tried the older builds so I can't tell how much has improved, however the emulator is quite playable when it comes to MSX games. Haven't tried MSX2 yet but I imagine the added slowdown might be annoying. Another complaint is that the volume is usually too low and unadjustable. Still, it's a neat little emulator if you're interested in playing some MSX titles. You'll need the BIOS and DOS roms of course but you'll have to find them on your own! =P

Some recommendations: King's Valley II, Penguin Adventure, Metal Gear, Thexder, Road Fighter, The Goonies, Yie Ar Kung Fu 2, Knightmare, Parodius.

Cool.I've really been getting into DS emulation lately and I've been meaning to check out some msx games so this works out perfectly. :D

Tell me what systems you're interested in and I'll post links to the latest emulators for them. However I have to tell you that the emulation scene has slowed down pretty considerably for the DS. Pretty odd considering it's the most popular handheld of all time. SNEmulDS for instance is quite capable but needs a lot more work to improve compatibility.

I don't think it is that odd. The DS is the most popular handheld due to its own games. People with the knowledge to put emulators on the DS also know that the PSP is better in that respect. I presume many people of the scene either moved onto the PSP (or even GP2X / Dingoo etc) or just got disheartened that the PSP is a good bit better than the DS for emulation. I don't currently have a PSP, but I'm looking for one and the main reason I want one is for emulation.

The DS has a chance to shine with emus like msxDS where the touchscreen can lead to a better experience than the PSP would, despite the relative lack of processing power.

Master system and snes would be cool. I have a really good one for nes already and an adequate one for Mega drive.

edit: Also, does anyone have a link to Neods. I bought Metal slug 7 for the ds but I really want to go back and play ms3 instead.

The 2nd link is a batch converter because you can't simply use the MAME roms without preparing them for NeoDS. You will need the BIOS too of course. If you get any errors whilst converting drop us a line!
