loser13, where do you work? That sounds like the most perfect option for me right now.

Anyways, I found out my uncle gets Panasonic stuff "at cost". He said that it would be at about 40% less than retail.

Texas..........(waits for jokes........), but wal mart prices are usually the same in every store, so it just depends if they still have any. That sanyo is outlandishly heavy though. Lordofduct: I believe what racketboy was saying is that his crt supports high definition, as does mine. Im not sure the point you wanted to get across, but it made you sound like no crts support high definition. But running a 360 on a ps1 screen? I surely hope you find a good deal, as i salute you for even making it a week on that. Good luck.

You might also want to check the Philips web site. They have a refurbished/outlet store that actually has some fancy deals, especially on CRT HDTVs.

Could I get a link? I went on their site, and couldn't find anything but CRT SDTVs.

I'm in Florida, so it shouldn't be that much different. But a 30" HDTV for $200? It's almost too good to believe. I'm gonna go TV shopping once I get my check cashed. Damn bank isn't open on sunday, and since today is labor day I still can't cash/deposit it.

Well, at least I still have 23 days till Halo 3. I should have about another $200 coming in by then, maybe I will be able to get a widescreen SlimFit.

http://www.outlet.philips.com/

30" widescreen HDTV (refurbished) $349.

They seem to be a little low on tube TVs about now.

Thanks for the link.

You guys are so lucky to live alone or at least have a little financial freedom. My Mom decided that it would be a good time to take my checks and deposit them. $435. I am so pissed, $200 of that was supposed to be spending money since it was all overtime. She doesn't let me withdraw, and since it's a joint account because I'm a minor I have no power.

Well my birthday is coming up, maybe she'll give me some money.

I remember when we was on welfare years ago, my mum would freakin' take my God damn money and spend it on frivolous shit...

like food...

Wait, you don't even get to keep the money you earn at your job? See, that's one of those things that I always thought was borderline criminal. Yes, minors, yaddah yaddah yaddah... But if you earned it with your own work it shouldn't be able to be so easily co-opted, even if they are your parents. Not in any 1st world country, anyway.

i guess she's teaching them how to save... so that way he doesn't grow up a teenager parent, with 8 credit cards, 50K in debt, and a asshole for a son who complains that you take their money...

oh wait...

I'm really good at saving money. I actually have a budget and everything. It's not that I have a problem putting it in the bank it's just the fact that I worked a shitload of overtime so I could save up for a new TV. And how the fuck did she do that anyway? My name was on the check, and I didn't endorse it.

Well at least she isn't spending it on shoes.
