Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
a few pages back i told of a story where i saw a genesis cdx, CIB snatcher, and a stack of other CIB sega cd games at a flea market. long story short, the owner hadn't priced out anything yet and told me to come back later. here is the what happened when i returned today...
snatcher was gone. sons of bitches. when asked where snatcher went he pointed to the used DVDs. he had no idea where it went, let alone what i was talking about. i searched the store up and down. nothing. so that was kind of a disappointment.
but i was able to round up 15 cib sega cd games: nothing really note worthy expect for android assult and wild woody. last i check on ebay, which was a few months ago, these 2 were selling for give or take 30 dollars a piece. i was also able to pick up the genesis cdx with all hook ups, two 6 button arcade controllers, and a capcom single hand controller. at least i think it is a single hand controller.
i ended up paying 75 bones for everything. i probably shouldn't have dropped 75, but you don't see a cdx in the wild too often. this would have been the deal of the century if snatcher was in there. he probably ended up selling it for only a few bucks too.

if you took a shit, please put it back

i would have gone back the next fucking day. good score, though. android assault is easily one of the best games on the sega cd, imo.

This is more of a novelty than a find, but I bought a new PS1 game from Amazon. It turns out they still sell Chrono Cross new. from Amazon themselves, by the way, not a third party. I don't know why they still have new copies, but they did, and I bought it. It's the first time I've bought a brand new PS1 game since 2004. They also have a few other PS1 games new, you can see them here, if you're interested: http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=sr_ ... nid=229773

Went to a flea market and picked up a working Dreamcast with one controller for 15 bucks. Glad to have it back in my collection.
Also found a copy of Virtua Cop and College Slam for the Sega Saturn. I'm getting ahead of myself, buying games for a console I don't even have. But they were 50 cents apiece so I couldn't pass it up. All disc only, though College Slam came in a paper Not For Resale case of Virtua Fighter 2, and I got my hopes up until I checked it. Ah well. A buck for two games isn't that bad.

Collects promo gaming stuff, certain import games, hockey memorabilia, and other oddball things. (sig and avy under construction)

I picked up an Atari 2600 with 17 games, 2 controllers, and power supply for $5 off craigslist. The guy thought the Atari was broken but it works fine. I think he didn't know how to connect it to the tv, oh well.
