I can verify that the G5 iMacs are perfectly fine running OS X up to leopard (we never upgraded them to snow leopard at College since Pro Tools 8 had issues with it at first) they ran all the programs we needed them to run (Office, Pro Tools 8, Logic Studio 8 ). Trust me, I had to install them all one by one and make sure that they were 100% stable before we let the students on them.
