How would I make a NES GBA cart?
Hypothetical question: I know that sometimes you see these bootleg GBA carts show up on ebay and they are a single NES ROM + NES emulator that automatically fires up the ROM when you start the GBA cart up. How would you make one of those? I mean I know I could just put the emulator and ROM on the cart, but how do you make it so that instead of having to start the emulator then the ROM it would just automatically start the game like a normal cart would?

Good question. How do you make it so that instead of having to start the emulator then the ROM it would just automatically start the game like a normal cart would?
I don't have any flash carts at this time; but I would assume that you can start the emulator program with an auto load switch with the path to the ROM; much like command line options in DOS or Windows.
Of course, I have no way of confirming this as of yet.

I know on NDS homebrew that you can just name any file "bootme.nds" (IIRC) and it will auto-start. It's probably something similar, with a rom-injected emulator.
Re: How would I make a NES GBA cart?
not that this helps with the booting question, but i think most GBA carts that use nes roms use PocketNES as the emulator. same with the official NES Classics i believe
