I thought purple lights were UV waves, which can damage plastics and metals at the micro level.
If thats true that beautiful NES is gonna have a nice fire retardant plastic tan. :o

UV light can definitely yellow a SNES or an Apple ][. I've never seen it happen to an NES, but be careful.

Well don't worry everybody it was a temporary set up and all is well now. Still, it would be nice to build more of these for part time parties/get-togethers don't you think?

Well, it's good to hear that your plastic is safe now. If you're going to use black lights, you should set up a few lava lamps too. pick colors that will glow under UV light.

That would be very trippy, really add to the effect! Then upgrade to Dreamcast with woofers and REZ! I would not sleep, bathe or consume food for two days. Then come out with double vision and walk like a Zombie.

Sorry to say that I've never experienced REZ although i'm a big Dreamcast fan. I bought mine when the system was on the brink of failure and bought up lots of used games for cheap that were a blast to play. I missed REZ though, would love to experience it that way from what I hear about it.

There is also a PS2 and 360 download version of REZ. If you can keep that tunnel project displayed for a while with REZ, anyone who goes in will be blown away in that Cool Blue Room!

 beautiful!

I love the black lights on white walls. Does it cause eye strain though? I've been considering putting LED access lights around my room for evening game play. I wonder if I can get it looking as cool as that though...

This room sir, is classy.

Shame to hear it had to go, but at least your NES didn't become the color of an electronic banana.

having been interested in art, for the past.......... life

I must say
this.
I am in lack of words

truly incredible
I most certainly hope that they gave you an A++ for this.

the simplicity of it, makes it true genius

of course I'd (also) love to hook up my DC with Rez, etc.

but to only have the NES, the OldSkool (small) TV, speakers and heaps of NES games.

this is pure genius.

I am in awe.
