I always used Blindread (the iso ripping part of the Blindwrite suite) when I found a disc that would give me problems. It takes forever to read an iso (some of the particularly bad ones can take nearly 12 hours to rip going at less than 0.25x) but let it get on with it and it will get there. Of course if the disc is physically damaged in some way it won't work, my only other suggestion is if the PS2 can read it perfectly (are you sure, have you gone all the way the game without any DRE's?) then to softmod and rip the game directly from the DVD drive in the PS2 over the network or if you have a network adaptor, to a harddrive in the PS2.
Good Luck!

Ahhh I was thinking that very same thing too Niode!! I have a modded ps2 with a hard drive and network adapter. Unfortunately I just don't have free mcboot or whatever yet to start adding and playing things from the hard drive. Or well I guess I could burn a copy of HDloader or something? I've never really used the hard drive feature of my ps2 yet. Any tips to get started? Just something quick and easy to test this disc really.
Also, i'll give that a try tonight then, i'll start reading before I go to bed and in the morning hopefully i'll wake up to a fully read disc
.
I haven't actually played through the entire game with this disc, only about the first 10 minutes of the first chapter, so technically maybe there are gonna be some glitches along the way. I do however have a few different saves at different parts in the game from playing the retail version a while ago, i'll try loading up a few of those and see if everything goes smoothly.
Edit: I was also just told that there are some programs that read the disc and create an image byte by byte instead of file by file. The person also said that it will make an image of the disc with errors and all. If that's true at least i'd be able to back up what is there, is it possible to do this? Does anyone know of programs like this?

That's how BlindRead does it.winds wrote:Edit: I was also just told that there are some programs that read the disc and create an image byte by byte instead of file by file.
