I hope GagaMan doesn't cry about this as he just bought a GP2X, but this could be interesting:

Doesn't look like the tech specs vary too much though, so it may not make a difference in emulation quality ( bummer there).
To be honest, I don't think I care much about the touch-screen as the software to utilize it would have to homebrew stuff, which I doubt could beat my DS stuff.
But I'm curious if the body will be any thinner (doesn't look like it) or if the battery life will be better (again, I doubt it) and obviously, it doesn't have a flip-down lid like the DS (which is one of my favorite DS features)
GamePark Holdings' GP2X F-200 coming in October
I just KNEW they'd wait till the exact moment I bought one to reveal a new one. It literally arrived yesterday. =(
Mind you, did I mention that I got mine for under £70? As for the touch and that new PSP-like d-pad...meh. I wish they made the GP2X in white though, shows up much less smudges. I liked the idea of that analogue that could be replaced, I was hoping they might release some different add on's that could plug on there, like maybe a Neo Geo Pocket style analogue...
I'd only be crying a river if they told me it could emulate the Saturn and Dreamcast. The way I look at it I've gotten myself a hand held that I can play thousands of games on with no hassle for much less than I could get a DS or PSP for, so I'm not complaining. I'll defiantly be there for when they release a full upgrade though, with as I said...Dreamcast emulation =D

You got it for under £70? I'm in the UK, so that is rather interesting. Care to share the details?GagaMan wrote:I just KNEW they'd wait till the exact moment I bought one to reveal a new one. It literally arrived yesterday. =(

Ebay, mate. I was lucky enough to find one that ended at a time people generally don't look there (Read: The morning). So no one even tried to outbid me. This is after losing out on about 5 other GP2X's that went for around £100, by the way. It also came with a carry case and a 1GB card, which is nice.

I've been considering getting one of these for awhile. Guess I'll just wait till this new model comes out

Let me make a mental note to not put stuff ending in the morning again (I have done it once. On a weekend, even!
