Haha, ya its not so much the jokes, we are known for making fun of ourselves quite a bit. It's more the fact that a lot of Americans I met either think my opinions don't matter because I am Canadian or automatically assume they will do better then me at something.

Granted, it is happening less often then in the past.

It definitely seems like it. I know they tried to secede a few times, I think the rest of Canada should have let them. French Canadians hate Americans more than the French. I've had experiences where I've heard a clerk speak English, then when I talk to them all of a sudden they only speak french.

We hate 49% of Quebec too!

The other 51% are okay though.

Massively paraphrasing from some of my Canadian coworkers, but the reason the secessions failed was that Quebec only wanted to half secede; they wanted to keep using Canadian money and other such things.

I love Quebec.

Without Quebec I never would have been able to get into the Gentleman's Ballet at the age of 17.
