For the sake of discussion; What is the worst game you bought on purpose?
I've purchased some games just for the awful cover art to find out the game is just as bad. I'm looking at you Ultimate Stuntman.

Speaking of terrible, the spelling and grammar around here. Yikes!LiL-mAc wrote:your mean.dgamemuster wrote:i sell all my terrible games to kids who doesn't know it's terrible.

I have bought some games that are terrible for notoriety sake such as Superman 64 ($0.99 though). But I wouldnt buy a bunch of boxed worthless crap like old maddens or barbie games. Unless you are going after the packaging ( I did this on 5 saturn games for $0.99 each because the games had mint cases)

Wow. That does look all kinds of awful.
Re: When collecting, do you buy Terrible Games?
I suppose I do think about buying games I dislike, just for the sake of completing a series. For example, I though Breath of Fire IV was kinda bland and the original Breath of Fire aged like milk... but I still might get them, just to go along with the rest of my Breath of Fire games.
Aside from just for the sake of completing a series, I try to stay away from it. Don't get me wrong, I've got plenty of mediocre titles (Judge Dredd and Lawnmower Man stick out), but they all came to me through lot-deals.
The only way I'd hunt out a crappy game is if it was based off of a property I really loved... and considering I've even avoided importing those Haruhi games or games based on comics that aren't made by Capcom or Konami, I think I've got enough self-control where that is concerned as well.
I guess, now that I think about it, the worst game I ever intentionally bought was this: http://www.segagagadomain.com/saturn18/ ... eremix.htm (NSFW, I suppose)
However, I bought it specifically because all the art work is done by Kenichi Sonoda, and I'm a huge Gunsmith Cats fan. And, honestly, the game isn't that bad as far as Mahjong games go... I just have no idea how to play it, and it being 100% Japanese doesn't help things.

Damn girlracer, I need to come to Bedford if they're selling expensive SNES games for less than ten dollars. Shops in my area try to sell crappy madden games for top dollar. Yesterday I got a call from a consignment shop trying to sell me a SNES and some games for sixty damn dollars. I asked if I could just cherry-pick the games I want and was told that they only want to sell the whole lot together.

Heh heh, there's a pawn shop in my town selling an ESPN game for the SNES for $22.00. Not even in the box or anything - it's just the game alone.
