Re: When collecting, do you buy Terrible Games?
I'm currently collecting NES and SNES games, but I do not want any "bad" ones. I have a list of the ones I want and they're mostly all of the known greats.
Re: When collecting, do you buy Terrible Games?
I never purchase terrible games, heck I'm hesitant to purchase mediocre ones.

I try to stick to buying only what I'll play, but I have got a few bad games in bundles before. Sometimes it just makes sense to buy in bundles, so its hard not to get a few duds when you do that.

actually..now that I think about it, I haven't beaten a single one of my ~90 games.
To the basement!
i picked up something called a "Kids Gear" which is a game gear with weird images on it brand new - is this worth anything?
keep it sealed, for the love of god.
That is worth hundreds of dollars
also - i bought about 8 or so game boy colours - see through, red, pokemon blue and gold and a few others...i got one of each they had there...will post some photos when i collect it all.

If it's terribly good. Like Virtual Hydlide sure it's not a good game but it is the worst game ever made for the Saturn hence kinda collectable.

I have only willingly paid for a bad game whilst knowing it was bad. The first time was Command & Conquer: Tiberium Sun, because I wanted to know the story. The second was Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for GameGear. I don't know why I bought it, it wasn't at an awesome price, wasn't complete, I've never even owned a GameGear. I just felt the urge to buy it.

Oh Hell yes. I'm proud knowing that my copy of Shaq Fu, Street Combat, Pit-Fighter, and Ultraman are sitting on my shelf amongst my other SNES games.

I got Shaq-Fu for the Sega for a buck only to hope for one day if I ever run into Shaq he will autograph it for me

I don't collect games. (Right now, anyway). But my friend who used to collect N64 games would buy any game he didn't have - and boy did that lead to him owning some bad games(Superman 64). But he was just happy to have an awesome looking collection.
There's a certain geek pride with having a big stack of N64 games and all there boxes and manuals. Then one day he decided collecting was pointless and sold a portion of his collection (Mainly the really boring games).
Personally I wouldn't buy bad games for the sake of collecting. If I collected I would go for something like all the AAA titles on Gamecube or something.

I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.
