Blaster Master Overdrive *new* WiiWare
Holy shit was this game something else. I think every boss battle after level 3 lasted at least 8 minutes, and although you have a map, prepared to get lost anyway. The game is cheap, the original music was better, the sound effects were also better, no real exploration during the bird's eye view.
And did I mention the game is cheap? And frustrating. But it's one of those games that has pissed me off so much that I had to complete it. Usually I find myself somewhat elated after beating a game, and feel a sense of accomplishment. Not with Blaster Master Overdrive (and the ending stinks!). Even after beating it, I was cursing at it.
The best way to describe this game is to abbreviate it. It's a BM Overdrive.

Yes, I get to add another game to this list. Another one that was a long time coming. I beat Sonic 2 for the first time today.
Years ago I had gotten to the final boss once or twice and sucked. Last night I decide to play a game, not really planning on playing seriously. Then a few levels in I realized I had 10+ lives and had cleared many levels with over a 100 rings and thus had some continues built up. I lost a lot of lives on the Wing Fortress zone and then some more remembering how to play against Metal Sonic. Ultimately I didn't beat it that night even though I got maybe 5 or 6 hits on Robotnik on my final life.
So based on my performance on Robotnik yesterday (having learned his pattern) I demolished the game today. 12 lives and all my continues remaining. Now I still need to beat Sonic 1, heh.

Im actually kinda surprised you beat sonic 2 and not sonic 1. Sonic 1 is easier i think.

Well I always put more time into Sonic 2 when I was younger. I think its hard to accumulate lives in Sonic 1. Once I get more used to the levels after Marble Zone I can play them more quickly and not lose lives exploring them and finding the secrets.alienjesus wrote:Im actually kinda surprised you beat sonic 2 and not sonic 1. I haven't decided yet if the next game I'll tackle will be Ristar or Sonic 1. Maybe Sonic 1 just because it should be easier to do, then Ristar.

I had a blast with this game, and still am! I played through all of the grand prix cups and got 1st place in every one of them, so I guess you could say I beat the game. Now I'm working on unlocking all of the racers and music that I don't have yet. My wife and I love this cart racer! Play it if you haven't yet!

Half Life 2: Episode 1- Xbox 360
Half Life 2: Episode 2- Xbox 360
19XX- Final Burn Alpha
Gigawing- Final Burn Alpha
Trigger Heart Exelica- DC
Battle Bakraid- Final Burn Alpha
After I beat these shmups I realize how much I suck at them
The ending of Half Life 2: Episode 2 feels kind of incomplete, anyway HL2 + episode 1 & 2 has one of the best story lines that Ive played in a long time.
