Well I guess a 'deal' is a relative term depending on your location.BlackDS wrote:How do you find all these deals?
Me being from SA I've got to also factor in the sometimes crazy shipping cost, so what in the end might seem a great purchase to me, might look way expensive to others.
But as to your question- I don't know what to say, I guess you just got to be patient with these things.
I mean sometimes it's just pot luck that I happen on an auction that others might have somehow missed, other times it's misspelled eBay listings or just typing in the word 'console' instead of 'system' etc etc
For example, with regard to that AES system, it didn't show up under the usual search terms of 'neogeo aes system'. I found it under the search parameters of 'Neo-Geo Console'
It's actually amazing how many quality listings go almost unnoticed or have very few views because they don't fall under the normal search terms.
Interestingly, from the very same seller I saw a fully boxed AES system incl 4 CIB AES games, go for $131.51

This thread is the single most depressing thing I have ever seen. Its totally fucking amazing, do you kill people for the FBI on the side or some shit, how the fuck can on person even afford a tenth of this stuff.
I am amazingly fond of the Game & Watch range, an amazing collection just got 100x cooler by having it there.
Amazing collection.

Amazing collection.
Anyway, managed to acquire some Colecovision and Atari stuff.
I've got to say that this particular seller was a very reasonable chap, so in the end it didn't set me back all that much in either the cost of the stuff nor the shipping.
No boxed systems or games but everything looks good and works great so I'm pretty satisfied with the purchase.
BTW, having never owned any of those Atari 7800 joystick controllers before, I have to say that for me they now rank amongst the worst controllers I have ever used. Very uncomfortable to hold, for me anyway, and the joystick is quite stiff. I dunno, maybe I just got faulty controllers, but I doubt it.
Looking forward next to trying out the infamous non-centering 5200 joysticks.

Re: My console systems and games collection.
I had a friend with a 5200 back in the day. Stiff and annoying to hold because of the size is unfortunately normal. Food Fight and Desert Falcon for the 5200 are fun games, but playing them with that stick sucks.Thierry Henry wrote: BTW, having never owned any of those Atari 7800 joystick controllers before, I have to say that for me they now rank amongst the worst controllers I have ever used.
