The CDX is just a mini Genesis/Sega CD, and can't play Saturn games.

EDIT: I sounded like a jerk. No, you can't. The CDX came out before the Saturn, so you can't play saturn games on it.

Unfortunately, it also doesn't work the other way around - one cannot play Sega CD nor Sega Genesis games on a Saturn. That Genesis game port on a Saturn is sadly so misleading...

That reminds me of an old ebay auction for a Sega Saturn with a 32x. They tried plugging the mushroom into the cart slot and could never figure out how to hook it up so they sold them together. IIRC it went for every cheap too.
