All you do is plug the cart into your genesis. It's that easy really.

What's the best place to buy these? Is it Ebay or are there other distributors online still?
I have a copy of Shining Force CD I want to beat.

Yeah, and the internal save memory is only enough to hold 2 Shining Force saves, if I remember correctly, so you can never fully beat it.

One thing of note: I read that a Japanese Backup cart would work on a US system, but it wouldn't work with my PAL system (couldn't find any info wether it would so I took a chance).
I recommend buying a Megacart: http://products.genny4ever.net/megacart_v1x.html
It's a pretty nifty cart that not only backs up SCD saves, but also bypasses the region lock on SCD games and allows you to flash MD games to the cart (provided you buy or already have the two required cables).

I so want one of those flash carts. The fact that they can play 32X games only sweetens the deal.
Too bad they're not a bit cheaper.

eBay's about the only place to find one quickly.thecommontask wrote:What's the best place to buy these? Is it Ebay or are there other distributors online still?

In the third story, there's a well you need to check when you're battling some wizard/magician. In the well there's a ticket to a museum(?) that opens a fourth story of all boss battles. I'm actually playing the game, again, because I didn't level up my characters enough to complete the boss battles
