Hockey is our life blood, losing this game would have shamed us for the next hundred years. But US losing won't be nearly as big a deal since hockey isn't as popular in the states.

pfffffft so.

Yeah, but there would have been some perverse poetic symmetry with the botched opening ceremony to start and a loss to the US in hockey to close...

Nonetheless, this was a great game and the tournament itself was a bright spot in an otherwise awful Olympics. Hats off to the Canadian team!

I don't even care for hockey, but that was a great game. Watched the game at a Canadian bar, but when the US scored that goal to tie the game, we definitely represented. USA! Glad I caught the first subway at 5:30am to see the game (Korean time). Now, I've been up all night. Do I go to sleep or play some Sega Genesis? haha.

USA lost, but was a great game nevertheless.

Ryan Miller was the best player on ice, make no mistake about it; and I'm glad the Canadians did give him a cheer when his name was called.

Give Brian Burke the credit he deserves (heck, he is also the GM of the Maple Leafs), for putting together this US team, where no one thought highly of from the beginning. As well as for a condolence for the lost of his youngest son, whom lost his life just weeks before the Olympics.

I think the future is bright for Team USA, as the game is hosted in 2014 in Sochi, Russia.

Good job guys!

Was an amazing game. Disappointing ending but I'm glad Scotty got another Gold under his belt.

I actually watched this. Great game. And now I'll forget hockey exists once more.

I enjoyed the Olympics overall, but I'm glad it's over 16 days is enough.

It's pretty awesome to see that so many people watched the game. I'm hoping some of the fans will now catch a few NHL games, but I'm definitely not counting on it.

The little party I threw went well. We only had two Canadians over, but plenty of guys were still rooting for our Northern brethren. The Canadian both couple wore shirts that read "Canadians are People too". I also let anyone who wanted to borrow a hockey sweater to sport for the game and video game tournament.

And man, Crosby must be living in a dream world right now. Not even 5 years in the league and already a cup and a gold medal.

I would have loved to be at you party Luke, good beer and BLTs, yum. I actually like the Korean beers, but I miss the variety of the US and most of all I miss real bacon. I get by on Miller Genuine Draft, but I would kill for a Rolling Rock.
