Cave Story...what's the hold up?

I'm not whining or anything. I know that a pleasure delayed is a pleasure improved. But...ugh...is there a known reason why I read the review of this game in Nintendo Power like 3 issues ago and it's still TBA?

Yeah, I'm waiting on that title too. I kept up with the forums at Nicalis, the company making the game for awhile. The posters got really whiny after they failed to make a 2009 release date, but from what I gathered from the site the game was submitted to Nintendo twice. The first time it was rejected, the second time it was approved. So now Nicalis is done with the title and it is in Nintendo's hands to release it when they see fit.

The game must be in to Nintendo and all finished since they had the review in Nintendo Power. The catch is that Nintendo can release WiiWare games whenever these damn please, and they don't need to tell even the developers much about it, so we're kinda at their mercy.

Rumor has it that it was first delayed because the color scheme made the main character looked alittle to much like the main character from Pokemon.

Good question! Maybe he is powered up later on in the game?
