I at one time had all the Handhelds available. It was fun to have them but no you won't find yourself playing them much. The screens are to small or to blurry or not lighted. And then the games aren't much fun to play when you can't see them good or know they look better emulated on a PSP.

But it was a blast to have them all on a shelf. It looked awesome. :)

I have my laptop with me almost everywhere I go. Between emulators and PC games, I have thousands of games always available to play. I use Steam to keep things organized, but there are other game organizing apps out there as well that make it easy to sort, search, and make your boring old files look a little more enticing with fun graphic icons and stuff like that.

With the modded PSP, I can now play any/all handheld games on a handheld system with a MUCH better screen than anything that came before. Seriously, handheld screens have traditionally sucked, and this made it hard to get enthused about playing the games. Fuck playing game boy games with a damn light dangling off the side of the screen or a game gear with a magnifier. On the PSP, the best portable games are now playable on a system that does them justice. Oh, and there's also a nice library of PSP originals to peruse, IMO.
I'm thinking about doing this route - except for the NGPC which has that amazing stick the PSP can probably serve as every other handheld better (well, very possibly the wonderswan is also better original if you play one of the few vertical games?).

I disagree -- DO NOT get a Micro. #1, the screen is way too small for any games involving text (RPG's are out of the question). #2, it does not play GB or GBC games. Pff.

I have no trouble reading text on the Micro. I still recommend the micro due to the small form factor and the screen brightness.

Like gtmtnbiker said, I don't have trouble reading text on it really. The only complaint I have about it is that your hands feel cramped after about an hour of gaming. Other than the backlit screen helps when you're in a darker room setting.

okay, let me rephrase: if you have excellent vision and don't mind a tiny screen and you have tiny hands and don't plan on playing any GB/GBC games then get the Micro.

Is the GBPlayer compatible with the Wii?
