Sword of the Berzerk (QUESTION)
My TV does not have a 50Hz/60Hz selector. I live in Canada. I have an NYSC Dreamcast. I bruned sword of the berzerk (.GDI) on disc, and when I attempt to play it, my TV screen "skips frames". I am aware that this is a PAL / NTSC (Hz) issue. However, I was wondering if there's a program that can patch a "50 / 60 Hz selector" file to a .GDI game. I have Virtua Tennis 2 that I DL from SNES O RAMA. This file is a .GDI and was labelled with a (50/60 HZ selector). DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW I CAN GET "SWORD OF THE BERZERK" with a 50/60 HZ selector patched to it? Or How I can work around this issue? thaks. I really want to play this game.

The other day I played the same copy that I bought at EB ten years ago for seven bucks. Sucks your missing out on such an awesome game.

Everything's fine. You live in North America. North America uses NTSC. To make this easy, this means everything runs at 60hz - kinda like 60fps. 50hz is ONLY for our friends across the pond, not you. Sword of the Bezerk runs at 30fps normally but at 60hz. In essence, its supposed to be like that.

I use this one for Imports, not sure if it will work for burned games:

Agree, Not sure what "backwardshole" meant by skipping frames, but if you can see the screen clearly then the Hz setting is already correct.Devezu wrote:Everything's fine. You live in North America. Re: Sword of the Berzerk (QUESTION)
What mean by "skipping frames", I mean that the visuals (credits, game menue, etc..) vertically scrolls over and over and over, as if it's "skipping". You guys know what I mean? I was told (by someone on this forum) at one point that it had to do with my TV and how I should change it to 50HZ, but I don't think this is the case. I've tried burning 3 different versions of this game and I still have this issue. Unless someone can give me the name of a good working version that I can find on UGAgree, Not sure what "backwardshole" meant by skipping frames, but if you can see the screen clearly then the Hz setting is already correct.

Appears game is at the wrong Hz setting. Why not buy the NTSC version? Your Dreamcast, TV and Game all should be either matching NTSC or PAL to avoid problems. Or get that DC-X Import boot disc, though i don't think it works on burned discs. The game itself is cheap online.backwardshole wrote:What mean by "skipping frames", I mean that the visuals (credits, game menue, etc..) vertically scrolls over and over and over, as if it's "skipping".
