Making Fun Of Sonic Fanboy Whipper Snappers

Post by racketboy »

My Sonic opinion pieces get a lot of Google traffic -- especially for image searches, so I routinely get kids leaving "threatening" comments.

The last couple have been amusing:

Haha, oh that was great. Youtube is so full of those types. I have had some hilarious arguments on there. People have literally insulted me, saying that I'm sick and need to seek help and get a life, because I posted a Dark Side event from Star Wars KOTOR for example, where you can kill some of your party members. They talk as if I enjoy killing my friends in the real world.

I get a lot of that on my site too. Back at E3 2005 I apparently was the first guy to have images of Silver the Hedgehog from the show (both a large statue and some game footage) and to this day I still get kiddie Sonic fans posting comments about how "awsum" Silver is and how he "rox", so on and so forth.

Also, the IGN kids love the idea of Nintencats. Who knew?

Wow that was kinda scary  . I wonder if these people were slicing they're arm with razor blades while typing that stuff , damn masochists. Mellow peoples.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

OH MAN SONIC HEROES!!!! QUIT HATIN!!! THE NEW CHARACTERS ARE SO ORIGINAL!!!! OMG!!!! ROCKETBOY!!!!!!!!

I actually disagree and I love Sonic Adventure. I think there's some really cool levels in there but there are definitely some slow parts that drag on.

I completely agree about SA2 though. I didn't enjoy switchin off characters every level. They were not nearly as good as sonics, especially those damn gem hunts with the bat and knuckles.

Some of my favorites so far.

"That article is lame. It is trying to manipulate you guys into hating Sonic. I should know. I’m a TRUE Sonic fan."

I wish I could be a TRUE sonic fan. Maybe I just cling to my 2-D heresy.

"everyone knows that mario and all other first party nintendo games are almost always good and of high quality why do you think this is? It is because the games are first party meaning that nintendo is these games home, meaning that if mario entered his home on a dark night he would easily find his way around his house and turn on the lights. Also he can go to his kitchen and prepare a sloppy joe and eat it whilst getting it all over the kitchen table, and then take his clothes off and leave them on the floor before going to sleep, but it doesn’t matter because that is his house meaning that all nintendo first party game developers know all of the ins and outs, as well as limitations of their sytem."

I think this post would have been improved with a few paragraph breaks but I still give him credit for expanding on this point. I never equated first party games with sloppy joes and nudity, but now my vision is clear.

"he’s right the sonic team isn’t formilliar with the soft wear so give them a break"

I know none of us are perfect in our writing and maybe I'm just being a dick but are these people even trying?

"You can talk junk all you want but just know that all your junk talk won’t make Sega stop making Sonic the Hedgehog games. So instead why don’t you just scram and stop hatin’ on sonic. Got that?"

Awesome, just awesome.

long ago, trolls lived under bridges. now, they live online

overall it's nice to realize there are people so passionate about some things (sonic in this case). it'd be cooler if there passion were a bit more useful though
