I watched "Hannah Montana: The Movie" over a couple of nights. Better than Avatar. This is not sarcasm.

I love Dangerdoom!

I saw The Orphanage last night. I have to admit that it was freaking scary as hell. Even at the end. I have heard a lot of mixed reviews and I will say (just like I am sure you have all heard before) that I never get scared by horror movies anymore. Maybe it was the fact that I watched the movie with my fancy super loud headphones on. I love foreign horror. I don't mind foreign movies in any genre, but for some reason, with horror, another language really increases the fear level for me. I was actually nervous watching this movie and I recommend it to all.

Also saw Them, not the 50s flick, but the French/Romanian film from 2006ish. This movie creeped me out too. Not as much as The Orphanage, but the atmosphere had me on the edge of my seat - I have never said that before and thought it was just a stupid phrase, but I was literally sitting uncomfortably with my face as close to the computer screen as possible for both of these movies. This movie draws a lot of comparisons to Strangers, and I guess you could say it has a similar theme - but a lot of movies do. Even if you do compare these two films, I found this movie much scarier.

Last, but not least, I saw Korea's The Two Sisters. I did not realize until most of the way through that this is the movie America's The Uninvited is based on. This allowed me to enjoy the movie much more. I didn't mind The Uninvited, but I have to say it doesn't hold a candle to The Two Sisters. This movie was not so scary, but more interesting. I think they played everything out very well and it flowed very nicely. Still plenty of chills and a couple of good scares.

Just saw The Lovely Bones. It was a lot better than I had anticipated, since I've heard it wasn't that great. But I really enjoyed the story and the overall presentation of the film. The latter is where it excelled. The acting was all solid, too.

I finished the first season of Spice and Wolf. A lot of people pan it for slow pacing and not a lot of action, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I liked the pseudo-medieval economics and rampant character development. :D
