Is there a gameshark or action replay to use instead of swap

Post by meathead42 »

Is there a gameshark or action replay to use instead of swap method (I got a 64 pin unit that don't like the mod)? Also can anyone recommend a memory cartage? I see the gameshark ones on ebay?

Also will all the jap controllers work on the USA machines? Like the steering wheels and shit?

Thanks!

swap is easiest on that system.

I'm going to assume that you are talking about the Saturn here...

If you are trying to play imports with one, and need the memory cartridge as well, I would recommend the Action Replay 4-in-1. It lets you play imports without having to swap discs or anything.

As for your second question, yes, JP controllers will work on NTSC consoles.

Yeah sorry about that... It is a Saturn. What should I expect to pay for Action Replay Plus Sega Saturn 4in1? I see one on ebay, so are they hard to get?

I am not entirely sure what your question is. Are you trying to play import games or are you trying to play back ups. If you want to play imports then the action replay is the way to go, but if your looking to play back ups the action replay isn't going to do much for ya.

The Saturn cartridge port is cheap as hell, try not to remove cartridges often let alone swapping.

Grab an Action replay or better yet do a region mod.

I went through 2 Saturns by swapping and don't recommend it.

I have a modified saturn which changes to anyregion via the reset button, plus a 50/60 htz option, im uk and we have a guy called consolepassion (youtube) it's a very slick mod and worth checking out, if you have nimble fingers you could try it yourself :)

You can also do the reset mod on the megadrive.genesis/megacd/snes
