Don't know if they did but for me, I just got it from the game website forum. You can try there. It's mostly cause by Window Xp system. The game was build before that so, issue arise if you have XP and above window system.Flak Beard wrote:I wonder if the GoG version is pre-patched with the bug fix you mention. Anyone know?johnblade wrote:Septerra Core is actually an underrated game for me. The game is trying to me a JRPG with some western stuff mix in it. People should play the game when they have the time. Just remember they is a bug that stop your from continuing the game. Need to patch it to bypass it.

I also got Shogo from GOG. It's ok, but not great. It's meant to have a japanese anime style, but it doesn't quite hit the mark. The mechs all look pretty nice, but the humans look really lame in the 3d sections, and just ok in the more cartoony parts.
The music and sound are mostly just OK. They're not bad, but they're not great. At least the voice acting isn't bad though.
The controls are fast-paced, precise, and fun, though the game isn't terribly challenging. You have a nice arsenal of destructive weapons that make it fun to blow things up in different ways. The fact that the controls are good is the one thing that could draw you to this game.

Yeah it's totally worth checking out. I just finished it a few weeks ago. But the version of the lithtec engine used there was not up to the task of making faces for the characters. Compared to Half Life and Sin that used the quake 2 engine they look dated. However Shogo has a lot more open spaces and larger levels than than Sin and Half Life that focused more on enclosed spaces. I'd say it's a fair trade.
Re: Shogo: Mobile Armor Division
Yeah, quite a shame that Shogo didn't get the expansion released, nor a sequel developed. Would be interesting to see if this was to use the latest Half-Life or Unreal engine for an update.

Or, you know, a newer version of their own engine, say as used in FEAR 2?skyknight wrote:Yeah, quite a shame that Shogo didn't get the expansion released, nor a sequel developed. Would be interesting to see if this was to use the latest Half-Life or Unreal engine for an update.

Well according to this Shogo is the first one to use the lithtech engine so naturally it had not been perfected yet.Hobie-wan wrote:Or, you know, a newer version of their own engine, say as used in FEAR 2?skyknight wrote:Yeah, quite a shame that Shogo didn't get the expansion released, nor a sequel developed. Right, Sky was saying it would be interesting to see an update or new Shogo game in a modern Source/Unreal engine. I was just pointing out that Monolith has their own modern engine.arion wrote:Well according to this Shogo is the first one to use the lithtech engine so naturally it had not been perfected yet.
