That's a nice find for a loose S&P. I lost on a CIB copy a couple weeks back @ $49.

That's insane. No more $40+ bids from this guy.

Don't cut the tabs, just take the back off of a crappy American cartridge like Madden or something, swap it with the back of your Japanese one so the tabs line up just like if it were an American cart and play. Plus, you won't have any issues with dust or other contaminants getting into your system as a result from cutting the tabs.

Just use a gamebit or the case of a cheap clear BIC pen to take the back off of the cart.

I'm anti console mutilation for no good reason unless it's an AV or audio mod on an older console, so I try to prevent bad moves like chopping off the protective tabs.
My Consoles:
Genesis - Nomad - SegaCD - GameGear - Sega Saturn - Dreamcast - NES - SNES - N64 - Gamecube - Wii - Playstation - PSone & LCD - PS2 - PS3 - Xbox - 3DS

You can also get one of these adaptors. If you don't mind the two connector balancing act.

My cousin won a complete copy off of Ebay during the summer for $18.99 shipped. They're out there and you can find them but it requires more patience than I have. I'm still waiting to find a copy for myself.

I have an extra piece so I can always put the not cut one back in the system. If I get any more lip I am going to destroy a SNES and post pics here.
