I woulda passed too, what with all the bullshit around and what not

I never find anything at garage sales, I rarely go to them because Im not a fan fan of second hand clothes, the only thing they seem to ever have.

So true, I only ones around me have old clothes. Last time Ive been to one was in 2001, I like Goodwill but they only have stuff sometimes. The one around me has a beat up Missile Command arcade, they want $200 for it.

No one is saying its not possible, it just they tend to have a much lower success rate than other methods. Its kind of like going to a flea market and only being able to pick one stall a day. It would take you awhile to find one that had games.

last weekend I went to a church yard sale. This lady had a Game Boy Color with a copy of Link's Awakening DX in a Pokemon case. She wanted $20 for it. I said "I'll give you $5." She said $10. I didnt actually need it, so I said I can't go past $5. I then came back to her 4 hours later when she was packing up and I said "are you sure you don't want to give me that for $5 instead of taking it back home." She still refused. Meh.

^I don't think many people would have sold that for $5... that's dirt cheap.

The ONLY thing I have ever found at a garage sale was actually REALLY awesome. Turns out my neighbor was having a garage sale so I looked over it in the morning not really expecting to find anything... The guy had a Sega Genesis Model 1 and Sega CD Model 2 with the mounting base and a box full of about 35-40 Genesis games and 5 or so Sega CD games (most with box/manual) for $40 :D What sealed the deal was the fact that one of those games was Sonic CD in a great looking case w/ manual.

I got a GBA, a Pokemon case, and 4 Pokemon games for $5 at a yard sale over the Summer my man. I know what I'm doing. I didn't want to try too hard on this one because I didn't NEED any of this stuff. I was just gonna add it to my trade list.

I usually go to several garage/estate/yard sales each weekend and flea markets. Garage sales in my area are usually terrible most of the time unfortunately what I find is stuff I don't want. I have better luck at flea markets but its very hit or miss.
