um... second Grandma's boy. I mean, that movie sucks, hard, but I still love it a little because it does a pretty good half-assed job of sending up video game/stoner culture + it has a some pretty great lines e.g. "I can't believe you came on my mom..."
Aside from that, The Matrix? Bam!

Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for me.

The Matrix? I'm not so sure.. I'm sure its based mostly on cyberpunk and scifi existential/alternate reality themes set forth by the likes of William Gibson and Philip K. Dick.

"When Ross saw that ball, he knew he was fucked." (start at 4:00)
"Kuh-yokia!"
Yea, I'd kill someone to have been a producer on this show.

Re: Videogame cinema
The Lawnmower Man is another one. It's about a scientific experiment combining drugs and virtual reality to make a simple-minded gardener become a genius. The only trouble is that he uses his new super intellect for evil.

Heh.. It's no wonder why those sappy "romantic comedies" are doing so well at the box office. Unrelated but thought to share

Joysticks is like the Porky's of videogame movies.
And yes, Joe Don Baker is in it. If you're a Mystery Science Theater 3000 fan, you probably know him better as "MITCHELL!"

Is that the same movie where he drinks pepto-bismol mixed with whiskey? He's been in a slew of MST3K movies.
