Ichi is incredible. It starts out a b-horror movie but rapidly progresses into something much deeper.

Recently watched the MST3K version of Santa Claus, a Mexican Christmas film from the 1950s about how Satan sends his loyal demon Pitch to stop Santa on Christmas and convert the children of the world to evil. In the process the film ranges from racist to creepy to just plain odd. I don't think it holds up to my two favorite MST3K episodes, but there were some awesome jokes in there.

Also I rewatched The Gamers: Dorkness rising, and Pootie Tang. Excellent.

I'm pretty sure that one is public domain now. Such a weird movie.

A good friend of mine gave me every single MST3K episode on DVD for a wedding gift. It even includes the ones where Joel had long hippy hair, before the show went "mainstream".

I'll probably watch HARVEY tonight. I need a picker-upper.

Thinking of doing marathon-watching-by-the-decades starting next month. Here's a list of 80s movies that I'm going to try watching..

Might skip on those frequently watched titles (like the Goonies and Blade Runner). If you a) bothered to scan through the list and b) think you can think of worthwhile 80s movies (or OVAs and mini-series) please don't hesitate to post them!

Hey, I can think of a few not on there that you might consider watching. They're definitely films I think of when I think of the 1980s, and it's a wide spread from the decade.

*batteries not included
Adventures of Baron Munchausen, The
Breakin
Breakin 2: Electric Boogaloo
Coming to America
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
Golden Child, The
Legend
Predator
Purple Rain
Ran
Re-Animator
Red Dawn
Running Man, The
Short Circuit
Time Bandits
Toy, The
Trading Places
UHF
Willow

Let me know what you think about adding these. I'll try to think up some more.

I had Running Man and Red Dawn but they're misplaced somewhere. Will I appreciate Short Circuit even if I hadn't watched it when it first came out? As for Predator it's almost embarrassing that I don't have the first one. Thanks for the list I'll look up the titles on IMDb.
